For a long time, the mystery in my own life was why existing felt so difficult, even when nothing obvious seemed wrong. The book begins at the point where I slowly understand that the way I was living was not normal, but a way of avoiding feelings through control and exhaustion. Learning to see that clearly, and stay with it, became the foundation of Syk nok.

I do not read much fiction, but I am a fan of Matt Haig, and The Midnight Library stayed with me. I think I would like to visit that world because my mind often lives among imagined possibilities, and it would be meaningful to step into them briefly and then return, rather than stay suspended in thought.
