After moving to Little River, California I began a garden for the first time in years. It took little time for me to notice that all the lessons I was learning in my garden were lessons that could be readily applied to my everyday life and I began to take notes, aiming to distill the essential lesson into a kind of metaphorical proverb. I did this for many years.
