Just read and finished "A Million Shadows"; I totally freaking enjoy the sequel, even introducing D at the middle. Do we get to have more background on D on the upcoming book?

Janci Patterson D will definitely be around in book 3! He likes to be enigmatic about his history, though. :)

I just finished Giftchild today and I LOVED it. It made me cry. :-) I love your writing. I'm on a Janci Patterson reading binge right now. I wondered where you got your inspiration for the story. Is it based on a true story?

Janci Patterson Not a true story! I've had several friends go through infertility treatments or try to adopt, and once when I was looking at some prospective adoptive family profiles online I was struck by all the pain the families were trying to valiantly to mask in their efforts to look perfect and happy to attract adoptive parents. I wanted to write a book about that pain, and since I write YA, I had to find a way to put a teenager in it. Many, many drafts later, I finally got the story told the way I wanted it. (So glad you enjoyed it!)

I really enjoyed "A thousand faces". Have you considered writing a sequel to it?

Janci Patterson Yes! There will be two sequels. Both are written and the next book is in revisions!

Hey there :) Brandon Sanderson has recommended your book (a Thousand Faces) - and he has never stirred me wrong in books before. So I wanted to buy it - but I could only find it on Amazon. I don't have a kindle, but a free Ereader - is it available somewhere else too? If so I will keep on looking, for a German site who sells it, but if it's kindle only, I can save the hassle of looking up lots of pages... :)

Janci Patterson Right now it's only available on Kindle. So I think you'd have to read it on the Kindle App on a computer or buy a hard copy if you don't have a Kindle. It'll go wide eventually! Thanks for your interest!
