That's exactly what's so fascinating about it: that it's so obscure! The only clues we've got are the remains of buildings and artefacts, and it's amazing how much archaeologists can tell from them about life and culture thousands of years ago.

I'm a history graduate, and history and archaeology have been my hobbies for many years. I'd thought of becoming an archaeologist for a while, but changed my mind; still, the atmosphere at an archaeological dig fascinates me. And, because I myself would be too bubbly for being an archaeologist, the idea of a most unusual romance between a serious Professor and a slightly nutty young motorbike rider came to my mind! Also, to me the theft of ancient artefacts is a most despicable crime, so I created the greedy 'collector' who tries to get at the ancient clay fragment with all means and methods...
