My last novella, "Panzer & Associate," takes place at a comic-book convention. I was inspired by my recent visit to Texas Frightmare Weekend, which is a horror convention that gave me plenty of inspiration for my story. I'd always wanted to write something that takes place in that world.

I find that I write better longhand. That is, write with a pen and notebook rather than sit at a computer and type it at once. Using a computer puts more pressure on you. With pen and paper, you have more time to come up with stuff to write.
