For new releases, I am most excited about Vigil by George Saunders. His voice and narration are unexpected and fresh.
As for my towering backlog of books, I am finally diving into Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch again. I tried reading it when first released, and didn't have the bandwidth: I was just beginning my doctorate. Can't wait to get lost in her words...The Secret History is one of my favorites of all time.

Daria Burke's memoir "Of My Own Making" tops my summer reading list. The two interviews I've heard with her have blown me away. I'm sure I will also dive into some fiction while on vacation as well. I have, literally, about 40 books in my "to read" pile.
