I would love to visit Trantor in person. I thought I answered this one already?

Hi Ed, great question. For most of my life, especially when I was very young, I felt more like an outside observer of life rather than an active participant. That has many drawbacks, but an advantage is that I seemed to have a better grasp of the "grand scheme of things" than my peers. That is reflected in the themes of my work because I don't focus so much on making every character behave perfectly in a series of events to reach an outcome. Rather, I can allow things to develop in a less manufactured way and allow readers more room to consider the in-between of key events for themselves. I don't write with a map or a predetermined set of instructions. That is a reflection of how I live- mostly going with the flow toward an inevitable end, but hopefully a memorable one.

Trantor, what better place in the galaxy could a person find themselves?

I knew it was a bad idea, but I needed to clear the drain. I could not have known how much my blood could stain.

I have been meaning to reread the Space Odyssey series by Clarke. Maybe this will be the year I finally get to it?

I had a nice blanket that I accidentally left overseas. It was green and soft, and the best blanket I've ever had. I wonder what happened to it and if someone took care of it.
