June Foster Is it fair to answer the question with saying it has already become a plot for a book? This isn't actually a mystery, but I had a great grandfather who was a Catholic priest. As most people know, priests are not allowed to marry. It so happens my great grandfather fell in love with a lovely young woman and wound up marrying her. I wouldn't be here if he hadn't. Dreams Deferred is a contemporary version of the story.
June Foster Denise, thanks so much for your question. I'm so glad you enjoyed the series. You are not the first person to ask this question. When I wrote the Almond Tree series, I self published the first three books then had the fourth, Almond Street Mission, ready to publish. About that time, I had opportunity to join Forget Me Not Romance, a division of Winged Publication, with editor Cynthia Hickey. So Almond Street Mission went to her. Since I hadn't published the other books with her, I didn't include it in the series. I know that sounds confusing. That's the last book in the series, but I have another series with Cynthia: the Woodlyn Series. This one takes place in the Pacific Northwest and the characters return to the next book along with the addition of new characters. If you enjoyed the Almond Tree Series, you might enjoy this one. Take a look at my blog and check out my books. The series is listed there as well as my latest, A Home for Fritz, based on a real dog we met up with last summer.

Again, thanks for the question and happy reading. June
June Foster The woman had always lived a good life, her ticket to heaven, and had nothing to fear as she gasped and breathed her last. As darkness surrounded her, she whirled through the long tunnel, met at the other end by the stench of sulfur and the horrid creature with crusty skin, reaching toward her with fierce claws.
June Foster Kathryn, thanks for your question. I've noticed the confusion as well in some of the tweets and Facebook posts. It is definitely Double Trouble. Check it out on Amazon.

June Foster I have been blessed to go to all the places where my books are set as my husband and I travel full time in our RV. However, if I could go to a fictional book world, I would make it one set in Israel. I would love to tour the land where Jesus once walked.
June Foster I'm reading Elizabeth Noyes' Imperfect Series.

June Foster I do something called "free writing," jotting down random ideas that come to my mind. Some of them turn out to be something I can use.
James Scott Bell has a great idea in "Plot and Structure." He looks through a physical thesaurus and finds 2 random words to spark a plot idea. For example, I chose "exterior" and "red" in a random fashion. If I were a suspense writer, maybe the hero sees red makings on the side of a barn. I could go on with this.
Walking away from the computer for a while also helps.
June Foster The Lord puts ideas in my head. My characters find freedom and healing in their lives through God's Word and His Power and I can't wait to get their stories into print.
June Foster I'm working on book two in the Almond Tree Series. In book one, Joella Crawford is looking for the perfect Christian husband. When JD Neilson comes along, she thinks she's found him. But could she be terribly wrong? Book two, Echoes From the Past, features David Reyes, the youth pastor who reaches out to JD in book one and Betty Ann Johnston. Dave is now senior pastor but discovers he has a six year old daughter. Betty Ann's dead husband is haunting her from the grave. Be assured, the story is told from a Christian worldview.
