Igor Arien In 1941, a 500-kilogram German bomb tore through my father’s house and buried itself beneath the floorboards.
Two decades later, I was born above it—and for six years, slept inches above a sleeping monster of iron and TNT.
(Based on a true story — Igor Arien)
Igor Arien I would return to the world of my own tales — to that wintry realm where Queen Adelia and her companions brave the frost, not for glory or conquest, but in search of a single snowdrop blooming against all odds.

I would walk unseen beside them as they learn what no crown or command can grant — that true strength lies in humility, that kindness is a warmer cloak than pride, and that benevolence shines brightest in the coldest hour.

To witness such lessons unfold again — that would be a journey worth taking.
Igor Arien This summer I’m revisiting a mix of adventure, philosophy, and classic theater — a small journey through courage, belief, and human design.
Thomas Mayne Reid’s Adventure of Gwen Wynn brings the spirit of exploration; Nietzsche’s The Anti-Christ and Thus Spake Zarathustra probe the foundations of faith and individuality; Defoe’s Robinson Crusoe reminds us what solitude reveals; Shaw’s Pygmalion and Arms and the Man test society’s masks; and Machiavelli’s The Prince stands as an eternal study in power and motive.
Together, they make a summer of contrasts — moral, political, and deeply human.
Igor Arien The mystery that could fill a book is the same one that threads through my writing — where do ideas truly come from? I’ve often felt, as I wrote in my first book, that wisdom and imagination are not entirely our own. They arrive as if whispered by something greater — the cosmos, conscience, or perhaps a divine current that passes briefly through us. My life’s mystery is learning to listen to that voice and recognize when it speaks.
