As to the trains - it's something I want to see in the future. Just as I was putting this book together, Elon Mush put out his plans for the hyperloop train. I was fascinated by and promptly incorporated a version into the story.

I don't have a summer reading list because I read consistently all year. I keep a wish list in Amazon for any books that I run across. For series that I'm currently reading, I keep a list in Amazon called "Series Next". Whenever I buy a new book in a series, I put the next book in the "Series Next" wish list so I don't get confused. I tend to wander thru a couple different genres so it's easy to lose track of which book is next. Unless it isn't written yet, which is always possible. Then I wait for the Amazon email that an author I read has a new book and if I'm not ready for it, I can put it on a wish list.

I caught the genealogy bug awhile back and have found lots of interesting mysteries there. I'm Irish on my mother's side and Hungarian on my father's. Both sides left their home countries during difficult times. While I research the family, I'm also learning a lot of history. It's fascinating.

That changes with what book I'm reading. Since I just finished the wonderful Temeraire Series by Naomi Novik, I'd have to say Laurence and Temeraire, although that's not what you'd call a romantic couple.

Wisp is a character that has been with me for awhile. I've tried his story in a couple different ways and it never quite worked. I teamed him up with Nick and that seemed to click, but the world I put them in wasn't quite right.
I also had an apocalyptic story forming in the back of my mind. It was set on the premise that the catastrophe didn't happen just once. It kept happening on a yearly basis. But I didn't have a story, just a world.
When I tried putting them together, they worked really well. It's hard now to look back and think of those characters in any other world.

Yes there is more coming! Book 3 will be out in October. I don't have a specific number of books planned, but I expect to keep writing in this world for a while.

My apocalyptic science fiction novel will be out 8/8. Right now I am working on the first draft of a sequel to White Lies, a murder mystery. This one will be set in North Carolina.
