David L. Dawson I'm working on the final book in The God Slayers Quartet. I'm alternately scared and relieved to be finishing it. That whole story has been in my head for five years or more. What if I can't finish it? What if it doesn't turn out the way I hoped? I'm giving myself writer's block just by thinking about it.
David L. Dawson My most recent book is "Chasm", which is out soon. I got the idea of that from a dream I had, where I was running through a city and there were these people fighting above me and they were destroying all the buildings and I feared I might be crushed at any second. The idea of the God Slayer's Quartet sort of sprung from that.
David L. Dawson Eat some chocolate, procrastinate, eat more chocolate, complain, rinse and repeat. Writer's block can be very debilitating and depressing, so I need to take my time. Forcing myself to write something does help, or starting another project to get the creative juices flowing again.
