William Ryan Sorry not to have replied sooner. Just saw your post now. I hope I will do another with both of them in due course but Donovan will be appearing on his own in a novel about The Spanish Civil War next year. All best

Will there be a sequel to A House of Ghosts? It's an absolutely brilliant book, and I am hooked on these characters. The ending seemed to allow for a sequel (or better, a series!). I so enjoyed it and wrote a glowing review which I will be adding to Amazon. Thank you so much for writing such a compelling and well-written novel!! Warmly, Susanne :)
William Ryan Hi Susanne, very sorry not to have replied earlier. I didn't see your post until this evening. Donovan will reappear in a novel about The Spanish Civil War next year and A Winter Guest is a similar novel which is published this year. Very pleased you enjoyed it.

Greetings from a tiny village in Ohio. I have read all your books, and enjoyed them so much I requested our library purchase them (which they did). They are getting a lot of circulation too! Our patrons especially like the Korolev series. Will you have a new book out soon? Will it be available in the United States? Are there any plans for a 4th in the Korolev series?

Any news on when the ebook version of "House of Ghosts" will be published? I need to keep my house clutter free to digital versions are a must for me ;)

Hi William. My question is: what kind of things could more established writers do to help give 'emerging' writers a bit of a leg-up? Or would any such help be unethical?
William Ryan Hi Shelley, sorry not to get back to you on this earlier - I've only just come across it in fact. As it happens, I think you've been published in the meantime and very successfully. But I think writers can give practical assistance in terms of guidance, encouragement and so on. It's very difficult to go much past that. I do lecture quite a lot and give workshops but, at the end of the day, it's what you, the aspiring author, put down on the page. If it's good, it will probably be published.

William, this isn't a question...really just a reply to your "like" of my very short review. The fact of the matter is these days it is rare to come across a novel that rises to the level of literature. Your tale rose to that level and then some. There are few novels in recent years that I feel as passionately about in that regard. My congratulations to you on this accomplishment. (?)
