Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Robert Flood I like to try and read different genres so writing a different genre was part of it. I also wanted to try and LGBT piece that did not conform to cliches, or misconceptions about LGBT people.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Robert Flood I simply step away from the project for a bit and write something else. Usually, writing something different helps me overcome it.

What are you currently working on?
Robert Flood I am currently working on a Historical Fiction piece called Ravaged and a contemporary piece called Laws of Attraction. Ravaged is almost done and Laws of Attraction is also nearly complete and ready for some serious edits.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Robert Flood Just keep at it. I never thought I would publish anything and I have two books that I self published. Live your passion and never give up!

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Robert Flood The best thing about being a writer is that I can get lost in my own world that I create for at least a period of time each session. I let the creative juices flow and since I am not bound by deadlines, I can write at my own pace which makes it wonderful.
