(view spoiler)[Ha! Funny you should ask. Yes. That was one of my first books I bought and read. I proudly showed Athena's puppy trainer, Victoria Schade-who wrote the foreward to SGADS-my Monks of New Skete book, but she confessed that she doesn't like their methodology. Okay, she actually may have used the word "hates" lol. Athena's training was an amalgam of "clicker" training and more old-school dominance Schutzhund obedience. Interestingly, the training place I did Schutzhund (her breeder's) has completely switched over to "clicker" (or some just use a word "marker") training. (hide spoiler)]

I hate to sound humble-brag-gy, but I honestly never suffer from writer's block. If anything, I could probably do with having an occasional bout of it.

The fame, the money, the accolades... Honestly, the only good thing about being a writer is that every once in a while, someone tells you they like what you wrote. There really is no better feeling (except if your book took off in, say, Asia).

This will sound really tedious and naval-gazing, but write. That's my only advice. Okay; one other thing: write about what you love to write about. For years, I beat myself up that my "voice" was too shallow and too conversational and I would never be a "Great Writer", so why bother? But soon I realized it's just how I walk.

I have a blog on a very popular pop culture website, but since I write under an alias, I want to keep myself anonymous.

I write because I have to. Seriously. I have just a need to get stories out, and since I'm a bit of an introvert, writing is an easier way for me to do that.

I was sending out emails of my dog's latest mishaps, and people seemed to enjoy them. I looked around for other German Shepherd books to see if there were others experiencing the oddball things my girl was doing, but I didn't find any. So I decided to write my own.
