I would do either To Kill A Mockingbird and live in Macom in the 1930's. I would like to think that I would be an outspoken anti-racist, but I'm not sure I would. I wold also like to live in Great Britain when Churchill took power and almost single-handedly saved the nation and Western Civilization. I would have loved to work in his government.

Wow. Interesting question. Answer: Some characters believe that God herself is a constant & indivisible. The zero is a multiplier that other characters place on God. So, somewhere along the line, some characters in Zero God come to conclusion that they have no access to God and they describe the non-access as Zero Times God, or Zero God. Of course, Algebra and God are not the same thing. However, the characters in the book develop their own God / Mathematics and come up with Zero God. Darn hard to explain unless and until you read the book.

A friend of mine says Writer's Block is when the characters in your book leave you. Ya gotta wait until they come back. Don't force yourself onto your writing. Back away, breathe, take several days, maybe weeks. Then go back. You will have picked up ideas during that time.

Writing fiction that other people find both interesting and poignant. I've found that a good novel changes the reader, ever so slightly.

Find a good teacher. Work like hell. Understand that you don't write the book when you're writing the book. You write the book when you're doing something else and an idea pops from your subconscious and stares you in the face. I like to jog and I can't tell you how many ideas I get during a jog.
