Hi artsy,
I did self publish. That process if fairly easy. I did it through Amazon KDP. As long as you have your manuscript and a cover, you can publish on Amazon. There are also sites like Draft2Digital who will help you publish your book in different sites such as Amazon and Apple. They will take a cut for every book you sell.
It all depends on what you want. The hard part is marketing your book. You gave to do that yourself. There are tools for that as well.
Overall, self publishing is easy and won’t cost you a thing.
