Thank you, Alan! I'm currently working on a standalone mystery/suspense novel, which I hope to see published next year.

Tim, I appreciate your initiative (good way to promote) but I do have a long list of books to read. They're books I've chosen, not books other authors have requested I read and review. I'm a writer too, not a professional reviewer. I wish you good luck with your book and I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season!

It's nice to hear from a fellow Buckeye!
That's a tough question, Robin. I've been writing in one form or another for as long as I can remember and I've always been an avid reader of mystery/suspense. When I was twelve, a poem I wrote was published in my Sunday School magazine. The second I saw my byline, I was hooked. Writing is a healthy outlet. For example, if, in real life, we feel like killing someone, we can do it on paper. :)
I hope you'll read my Malone mysteries. I'm working on the fourth book for the series now and it will be out early summer in 2015.

Honestly, I WISH I could write EVERY day and, whenever possible, I do. Unfortunately, life sometimes gets in the way and, like everyone, I have to prioritize. But, even when my writing has to take a back seat to family responsibilities, etc. and I'm not sitting at my computer, I'm writing in my head. :)

I love this expression: "Some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you." That's how it is for me when it comes to writing. Sometimes, I can't type the words fast enough; other times I sit and stare at my fingers, sitting idly on the keyboard. I don't call the slow days writer's block; I refer to them as days the bear got me. And I have faith that I'll get him tomorrow!

If writing is truly your passion and your dream is to become an author, never, ever, ever give up! If you're in it solely for the money, you might want to try doing something else. :)
It took years before my first mystery/suspense novel was published. Why? Because I spent too long trying to get an agent so that a Big Publisher would consider my book. Once I began to submit my manuscript to small press publishers, it was only a few months before "Mixed Messages" was accepted for publication.

I’m working on the first draft for the fourth novel in my Malone Mystery series and I’m very excited about it. Although my first three books take place in Cincinnati, Ohio, in book four, Ann and her two children visit Ann’s sister, Marnie, in South Carolina. They rent a condo on Fripp Island for a relaxing beach vacation. Unfortunately, for Ann, who desperately craves some peace and quiet after all she’s been through (in the first three books), she and her sister become involved in solving a murder.
