Jack and Wendy Torrance from Stephen King's The Shining.
I admired her strength and resolve, and I sympathized with his struggles as both a man and a father.
Thanks for that great question!

Hi Sara! Thanks for asking.
Work on Thorn Man is currently underway. It's VERY early in the process, but 9 of a projected 13 stories have been mapped out and are in various stages of drafts. There is some interest from a publisher on this one, so that complicates things a bit as far as estimating a release date.
My goal is to have the book finished next year, with a release sometime in 2017.
Have a GREAT weekend, and I thank you for your interest in my work!

Deadsville came about entirely though my collaborator on that book, T.D. Trask. It was his concept to have horror stories set in a fictional town. Great concept!
I had been working on a story or two that wound up in the book, but most of them were written exclusively for "Deadsville."

Sometimes it's a sight or a smell. Sometimes it's music or movies or reading. Sometimes it's none of those things.
Mostly it's just the voices in my head!

A story, which may very well wind up being a novella, called "Thorn Man."
He's a character from one of my stories in the "Deadsville" book, and he had so much to say that I couldn't fit everything in with that one story!
I also have several more stories and novella ideas developing as well.
Stay tuned!

Write.
Don't just think about writing, or plot or characters.
Sit down and write, even if it's just a minute or two every day.

The fame and the incredible pay.
Wait - I was thinking of hedge-fund managers! Sorry.

Joe R. Lansdale - one of my favorite authors - has a great trick for this. Slow down and focus on writing just two good sentences. That's it. Works like a charm!
