When writing my Key West Series there was so much fascinating history, gossip and scandal that I just didn't have room for, I thought all these 'cut-outs' would make a great book on their own. And so Key West Celebrities: & a Splash of Scandal was born.

For me it doesn't exist. I have a trick to avoid its puny existence: always leave something on your page at the end of the day so you know where you will go tomorrow. If that doesn't work then go back and edit what you've already written.

Write from the heart and edit from the head. Don't worry at the start about format or grammar or syntax just let your words pour out - then when you have a couple of pages written - leave it and then come back and your editing side of your brain will come into play.

I have just finished KEY WEST: Starting over is the third in the series of KEY WEST non-fiction books. There were so many stories that I wanted to include in this book but ran out of space - so I'm already working on number 4.
