This is a haaaaard one. Pride and Prejudice has to be right up there in my favourites. The twisty business with Mr. Darcy's character and all the scheming of the women surrounding him is so visceral, so typical of what happens when we pre-judge a person based on our desire to see what we want to without daring to ask questions. I think there are big lessons to be learned in Pride and Pred.
I also love the play Pygmalion (movie adaptation My Fair Lady) even though Eliza and Professor Higgins aren't technically a "couple," they have a fire in their relationship that's just so fun to watch. What I loved about Professor Higgins is that he is who he is and he doesn't change. The trope of a woman "fixing" her broken man is so overdone, it's refreshing to see these characters interact honestly.
