Having someone say they enjoy your writing...your characters...that a certain supporting character needs their own book...it gives me a huge smile when I gain a reader who keeps going after one of my books. It's an honor for them to give you more than a one book read when their are soooo many others they could choose from instead.

Don't go into writing thinking you're going to quit your day job...do it as a hobby....a hobby that is grueling work! Be prepared for disappointment and for elation...don't read negative reviews...if you do, ignore the hate. Focus on the good reviews instead, but understand you're not perfect...you're also learning...your writing will improve as you continue. Just hope for those fantastic readers who will follow you along the journey & grow with you!

My fourth novella in the Moonlit Hearts Romance series of seasonal sweet Hallmark-y romances! Also, prepping for the release of Spring in Lilac Glen in March, & releases of my audiobooks for all three of my seasonal standalone books! So fun listening to the narrators bring my characters to life!

Get out of my head. I start to have self-doubt when I get to the "wall" of where to go next. I take a break for a few days, a break from it all...writing, marketing, all of it. Then, something clicks and as soon as I can get to my laptop, I go back at it with restored confidence.

There was a clap of thunder as the room became eerily filled with somber darkness, causing the man to stumble against an old door that wasn't fully shut. The door flew open, thrusting him onto a cold and hollow floor, leaving him begging for his balance against the pressure of an object he couldn't touch.
