Cornelia Funke's beautiful Inkheart series captivated my imagination in a way that was difficult to describe. One part Robin Hood, another whimsical fable, add in a moving father/daughter dynamic and finish it off with a love triangle...I'd join the Bluejay and become a gentleman-robber in Ombra.

My 2025 goal is to read 25 books. Wimpy in comparison to many readers here on Goodreads, but hey, gotta up my numbers somehow. The last book for my 'summer' season list is 'Gentlemen of the Road' by Michael Chabon, which I'm currently reading. My favorite summer reading book this year was The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. Woof, that was haunting.
