During my reading of Ajaya, i felt..what if, Duryodhana was actually Suyodhana.. It is very much logical and kind of acceptable. May be Yudhistra may have molded the history because who-so-ever is in power tends to mold history writeups as per his/her convienece. What is your say sir?

When can read Rise of Kali- Duryodhana's Mahabharata (Ajaya book II) on Kindle? Just finished with Jaya, should i start with Rise of Kali or should i take a break or read something else before starting this book? Please suggest Thanks

Anand Neelakantan Aug 21 on Kindle.

It is better that you read the book immediately after Jaya so that you will be aware of the power of perspective and how the same story changes when we keep aside our pre-conceived notions

Sir, If you think of asuras loved by people two names immediately comes to our mind. Prahlad and Mahabali. Mahabali was a great king. then why was he exiled? Also, do yo plan to write about them? (I had read your article on deepavali.) Also according to local folklore in kerala it is believed that parashurama built kerala. Then how could Mahabali (killed by a previous avatar) rule kerala. Thanks.

Anand Neelakantan The answer to first question can be given in two ways. Asuras were cheated, as per popular belief. The traditionalist answer this as a) The Asuras like Mahabali were not as good as it is said, b) They had a curse (a very convinenant answer) c) The best one in Bhagawata- Vishnu himself is the guardian of Sutala where Mahabali now reigns and is now paying for his Karma. May be, one day I will write about them

Parashurama did not build Kerala. He reclaimed Kerala as per the legend. Kerala had sunk along with Mahabali and Parashuram reclaimed it from the sea (or wilderness/ Mangrove forests using his axe- could be allegorical)

Anand, Like Asura, Ajaya has been a great read. Few chapters towards the end are very moving and heartbreaking. My favourite has to be the one where Maya is thrown out of the beautiful city he just built. His curse is perhaps a nod to the current state of affairs in Delhi. Loved the book and looking forward to the "Rise of Kali", is there a release date which has been finalised?

Sir today i done reading your book "Asura". I took 3 weeks to complete it. This is just to share my excitement . Now i am going to buy "Ajaya". Well my question is, i recently bought kindle normal and which mode of reading you prefer Kindle or read book?

Anand Neelakantan I do both. I have a kindle voyage and I prefer it while traveling. While at home, I use physical book.

Anand Neelakantan Yes it will be. Rise of Kali will be the second and final part of Duryodhana's Mahabharata
