Hi Mourad, I write every weekday morning from about 9 to noon. I have a daily goal of 1,000 words when I'm writing a first draft. I don't have much trouble with writer's block. If I can't think of anything to write, I just write something with the idea that I can always delete it. This usually gets me into the writing groove. Thank you for your question. Do you write?

Write. The hardest part about writing is writing. I have met so many wannabe writers who sit around and talk about writing or tell their stories and they never finish a project. Writing is black on white. Just write.

The creativity. Setting my own schedule and my own pace.

Keep writing. Some days when I sit down to write I have a no idea what the characters are going to do. So I tell myself, "Just write something!" Even if I have to delete it later, I write just to get over the inertia and get the characters engaged and moving.

I have a writing habit now and usually have ideas for at least two books beside the one I'm writing. I start with an idea and write every day. I don't outline. Doesn't work for me.

Hoodoo Canyon is set in Bryce Canyon National Park. My husband and I visited there in 2012. I thought it'd be a great place for a mystery and since I'm a wannabe physicist, I wanted it to involve physicists. So why not have a top secret conference of physicists at a remote backcountry site in BCNP, the conference organizer not show up and an alien attends. That's how the book started.
