Sarah Tun Inspiration comes to me in different ways... Sometimes I dream a story or a character, or even a setting, which is my springboard for a new piece. Sometimes I sit and reflect or pray, and an impression begins. I've tried using news article, but I get ideas that I can carry best out of my own head.
Sarah Tun Branding (marketing) in preparation for a new Fairy Tale. Just what the world needs: Some precious, hopeful, dreamy, fun fairy tale.
Sarah Tun I believe the best way to get out of writer's block is to write your way out. Stream-of-consciousness, blogging on current events, anything. To write is to unblock the writing.
Sarah Tun Choice: choosing my schedule, choosing my work space, choosing my genre and topics and characters.
Sarah Tun Write. Don't delay. Write to yourself, to God, to your best friend, but write. Image your audience, find your 'voice' and writing becomes easier. The key is to write! Practice does make progress, if not immediate perfection.
Sarah Tun I was breast feeding my son in the night some years ago and from that drafted the Faithful Prince. I imagined my little boy at age 5 or 6 and drafted the book for myself and a couple of friends who had infant boys as well... It took some years to have it illustrated but now, at last, here is the book. Not my son's cup of tea but he likes to engage battles in his own way and has great courage too.
