I wouldn't necessarily call it writer's block (:knocks on wood everywhere), but sometimes I find it easy to become distracted. If this happens, it's usually not for much more than a day or two. That said, I can usually nip it in the bud if I give myself an hour to an hour and a half of a yoga workout.

Can't get into the details because well, it's the whole plot for the mystery and I don't want to spoil it. I write romance novels, so to hint at mystery is a bit mind-boggling. The truth is, I don't completely understand the whole thing I'm experiencing myself anyway, so it's a bit of a mystery to me in my own life. Expect this story sometime early next year. All I will say is, #obsessed much?

Books have always been a great way for me to lose myself in a world separate from reality. Whether I've had a trying day or or I'm simply looking to relax I know that I can rely on a good book to bring me the peace I'm looking for. I love when I'm sitting next to my husband reading and I burst out laughing at something I've read or when I find myself still living in a fictional world long after I've finished reading a really great book.
It is my hope that I'm able to provide my readers a place to escape to for a period of time and to give them the same thing that many of my favorite authors have given me. I've loved being able to put bits and pieces of myself into my characters and their experiences. It's almost been cathartic for me. In all of this, though, there has been no better feeling for me than to have someone read one of my books and then tell me how they couldn't put it down. Knowing that I've brought a bit of joy and entertainment into someone else's world by creating a fictional one is the greatest reward of being a writer.

While the fourth & final installment of Everything I Love is off with the editor and getting the cover design finished, I'm busy working on book #2 in the Cunningham Security series.
