Frankly I have no idea except it puts me in my own little world for a while and I like to write. I started writing about 9 years ago and haven't stopped.

Have your book edited. I didn't know there were POV rules etc when I wrote my first book. And start building your audience now- tell people about the book- a little at a time. Recommend books in the genre you're writing- share books that authors are promoting- Tag the author if you can so they see it. Then one day they'll see your and hopefully share it too. Many don't share but I try to see who shared and say thank you- and set up a newsletter

It amazes me that people like what I write. I'd never written until I was in my 40s and I feel like I finally found what I was gifted with. The best part is starting a new series with a new town and all new people.

My characters always surprise me. I loved flawed characters who grow or redeem themselves. If they were happy and beyond normal what is there to write about. To me romance is about getting through the obstacles and finding love

I have a general idea but my latest that I'm writing I sat down to write about one woman and ended up with another. I really don't know how my brain works - When I type on the computer the story goes its own way.
