Writer's block usually means, at least to me from my editorial experience, that I'm not ready to write the scene yet. I will leave it alone for a few days, forget about it then go back and write it. Sometimes, it will take a week or more to find the answer. However, if it's something I just can't figure out, I've realized the answer is usually right in front of me, on the page somewhere.

Many people and readers have asked me this. I'm still thinking of a good story line to follow that captured me as much as the Kursk tragedy. Also, to get back into Putin's head is quite a task. Therefore, it would have to be the right idea and the right timing to do so.

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Estonia when Putin first came into power and during the Kursk tragedy. I became fascinated with it and Putin's non-reaction to it. I followed him ever since, trying to answer the question of "what makes Putin tick?"
