Ashley Capes Hi Angel,

Yes, it's due in Feb :)

Planning to update my website as soon as I have an exact date, which will hopefully be soon. (Happy to answer any other questions you may have, also).

Ashley Capes Hi Michael - I'd only planned for 3 but I *might* write a 4th one day.

Sorry that's a little vague in terms of an answer, but for now, I'm focusing on other stories for a fair while - though I'd definitely like to return to Thomas & Mia one day.
Ashley Capes Maybe the world of 'Neuromancer' - but only if I can jump back home pretty quickly, after having experienced the future. That way I could try and bring some lessons back/better prepare myself for what's to come, even if/especially if the future is to be as dark as it is in Gibson's classic!
Ashley Capes Hi Lana, would be happy to do so :)

You can e-mail me here and I'll add you for sure: mountain0ash[at]gmail[dot]com
Ashley Capes Hi Danielle!
I can definitely find a way to get the book to you :)

Would you be able to e-mail me here?

mountain0ash[@]gmail[dot]com

And I'll make it happen!

Ashley Capes Hi Earle, there's definitely another trilogy in the works, thanks for asking!

I recently finished a first draft of the next book (The Last Sea God) and hope to have it ready for release early/mid 2018 :)
Ashley Capes Hi Mac!
I don't think I've ever watched an episode actually. Why do you ask? :)
Ashley Capes Give me 6 more months to think about it ;)
Ashley Capes Maybe a sub-plot?

But I once lost a He-Man figurine with a rubber face. When you pushed the chin up, scrunching up the face, He-Man looked a little like former Australian PM, Bob Hawke. (At least, to my 9 year old eyes he certainly did.)

Now, the reason I want it back is because if I ever become a stand-up comedian on a talk show I'd have a great opening joke. (Bonus points if you can spot the Seinfeld reference :D)

Ashley Capes Hi Kim, wow, thanks so much, I'm thrilled to hear that and thanks too for the ace review. Really happy to hear that there was some poetry within too!

Ashley Capes Tough question, Jessie (and thanks for asking it too)!

I started writing both written fiction and poetry evenly so I've got an established routine, I think - but what really helps is music. Different pieces of music tend to drive me toward one form over the other.

Mostly classical, OSTs and jazz for poetry - funk, rock and metal for fiction. There's crossover of course, but that's roughly how it works out :)

How about you?
Ashley Capes Alex! I know what you mean, it's awfully steep, huh?

And thanks so much for asking - I actually have a copy here with me :) I'll send you a PM if that's okay?
Ashley Capes Good question - I'd love to say that's part of it, or at least, their imagination anyway!
Ashley Capes Read widely and indiscriminately - you can learn things from the best and worst stuff out there.

Write until you drop, then get up and do it again :D
Ashley Capes I don't like the idea of 'block' as total - I think of writer's block as mostly a problem with motivation rather than a Malicious Force: and I beat it by switching between projects, often at different drafts, or by changing genres, maybe fiction to poetry, or even changing art forms.

I might paint, play guitar or piano for a while, or watch an amazing film like Rear Window. Then, afterwards, I'm usually keen to write again.
Ashley Capes Looks pretty comprehensive - I'll bookmark that, thanks EG!

I prefer to approach directly too. It may be impatience on my part but I just dislike the 6 month response times. Noticed one Oz publisher I might look into with a novella - which so many publishers are wary of it seems.
