I've been struggling with health problems (constant pain from what it now seems like might be entrapped nerves), which makes writing harder and more unpredictable, so it's hard to know anything for sure. For a long time, I thought there wouldn't be a book 3, partially because of my health issues getting in the way, and partially because too much time passed between books 1 and 2 and I lost a lot of readers, and now even more time has passed between book 2 and a potential 3rd book... But people still ask about it, and recently I've been thinking about how much I love these books and how I'd like to come back to them. So, I would love for there to be a book 3, but my ability to be productive is so up in the air all the time that I can't say for sure if/when it would be. So, no promises, but maybe? Hopefully? We'll see!

Yes - but probably not for a while! I've been dealing with burnout and chronic pain/health problems, and while those issues are slowly improving, they don't adhere to timelines. So... no promises on if or when, but I have some plans in the works and hope to get back to Damien and friends someday, even if I can't say anything concrete at this time. But there is reason to hope!

I'm so sorry to have had to cancel it. I went through some personal stuff recently, including a beloved pet dying, that left me feeling really burnt out and like I was a different person than I was when I started the book. I tried to finish it anyway, but it just felt like more and more of an uphill battle, and forcing my way through it didn't feel fair to the characters, or to the readers, or to myself. That may change in the future, or I might try to release what I have as a novella to tie up loose ends, but for now at least it's had to go to the back burner.

As for how many books there will be, the short answer is that I don't know, because there's no set amount. The kind of longer answer is that I'm not really into planning that far ahead ("not into," "not good at," whatever), and I basically just take it book by book and give it my all and see where that takes me. (Though I do have plans for book 5 already, so there's that.)
But these characters have been part of my life for 10 years now, and I can't imagine not writing about them anymore, so while I don't know how many books there will be, I know I don't plan to stop anytime soon. And book 4 is definitely not the last!

Good question! I think you could say it takes place in a medieval-ish fantasy world where paladins and dragons are taught to hate each other. But if it needs to be more specific, I would say it takes place at the Barracks, where the paladins live, and at Hawthorne Clan, where the dragons live.

I'm aiming for early 2016! I have health issues that make it hard to estimate when I'll be able to finish each book, but I will do my best to get book 4 out as soon as possible.

The short answer is, I don't know, but probably sometime in the first half of 2015. The long answer is, making audiobooks is really expensive, so I have to wait until book 3 comes out, which means I have to finish writing it first.

I'm working on it! :P It's taking me longer to figure this one out than the others (though book 2 took me longer than book 1, so maybe there's a pattern here), but my best guess right now is that it will be out sometime this winter.
