Thanks for asking that question, Lisa. Writing a story centered during the Christmas season lends itself to the concept of forgiveness. With the birth of our Savior, we are reminded of his teaching to forgive one another over and over again. Sometimes, the flesh side of ourselves stands in the way of doing what we know is right. Lila and Conrad have made mistakes that turned to regrets that only forgiveness could heal. Once I determined that had to happen in the story the scenes began to unfold naturally.
