Driving and music. When I'm really stuck, I'll go for a nice drive--maybe a long distance errand or a visit to a friend--and crank up the music. It's amazing how sometimes that gives me an idea or I find a song that hits the right feeling or emotion and sparks new interest in a stalled work. I will also sometimes make Sims out of my work-in-progress characters to kill time and see what happens.

BREAKING POINT was inspired by living near so much water. Katherine's greatest fear was water and the main idea that stuck with me was her dying the way she feared most. The idea was tweaked over time and less of the novel became about her and more about Aidan and his family and how that affects her.

I often hit upon ideas while driving, or sleeping, or pretty much anything. Sometimes a song will hit on the right vibe I'm looking for or an emotion and I'll put that sucker on repeat nonstop.
Sometimes, I'm inspired for several books either in a series or two totally different types of books at the same time. Jumping around can give me a headache, but I tend to go where inspiration strikes.

Write. Then write some more. Just keep writing. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't be an author. Don't let your age keep you down. If you love it, it shows.
Work on your craft. Listen to feedback. Read books by other authors in the genres you write. Learn. Take classes. Absorb. Write what you know. Don't be afraid to try new things or styles.

Working in bed or in my pjs/sweats. No, seriously, I love it. I also work on my phone or tablet or even in a notebook. Oh, plus the very necessary candy stash.

Two very separate projects and a third one is floating around in my head.
One: The third full-length J. Carter & Associates Novel - BREAKING POINT - which exposes more of Aidan's past as we meet his mother and again thrusts Kat headlong into danger. We also get to meet new characters who we will see in future installments.
Two: Another Kindle Worlds trilogy called BLOOD TIES. Book one is THICKER THAN BLOOD and is a work-in-progress with snippets on fanfiction.net. The final will be a lot different than the posted version is-posted is very stream-of-consciousness.
