You're going to laugh Alissa, but I just now saw this question. Kinda sad...sorry! To you and anyone else reading this, I will be giving away the entire Blue Series for free in the next two weeks as part of a new release for Blue Dawn, the sequel. Check my facebook page for dates :)

I've had this story for decades and created it as a teenager, so one day, I just decided to write a paragraph. That led to a few more paragraphs, and six months later, I had the first book done. It snowballed from there. I write for fun though. I am a registered nurse by trade, so I don't ever need to rely on my writing to pay the bills. I think that has freed me to be the kind of writer I've always wanted to be: completely independent, free spirited, and able (and willing) to write what scares me a little. I like to be uncomfortable about the subject matter I'm writing about, because if we as writers, limit ourselves by writing what is safe, we'll never chart new paths or push ourselves to achieve more. I want to leave readers either loving or hating my books, because that means they were affected, whether they want to be or not, by my characters - the good and the evil - in a way that is hopefully personal.

I am currently writing a sequel to the Blue Series titled Blue Dawn. It should be ready for publishing before the summer, 2016. And then I start a new project, a dark fantasy standalone novel titled, "The Magician."

Just keep writing. Don't stop to edit your work because it will slow you down. Once you finish your book, go back at that time to re-read, edit and fill in where you need to.

Nine books. Volume 8 could have been broken up into two smaller books, but I did that with Volume 2, part 1 and 2 and have since regretted doing that. I am no longer afraid of producing gargantuan books. It is what I do. I don't write small stories.
