Jim Donovan Before I write anything, I say a prayer asking that I be a channel for God's message. When I understand that the ideas are coming from a higher place and that I'm simply processing them, there is no block.

Also the fear of starvation is a good motivator:-)
Jim Donovan Having a positive impact on people throughout the world. And the freedom and lifestyle it gives me.

Jim Donovan Back in 1992 I was going through the process of rebuilding my life after having hit bottom in every imaginable way. One day I began writing about some of the ideas I was using that were working for me.

This became my "Jim's Jems" newwsletter which led to my first book, "Handbook to a Happier Life" (New World Library 2003). And the rest, as they say, is history.
Jim Donovan Seeing the dismal results of employee happiness studies in the U.S., coupled with the fact that, as someone who writes about personal development and happiness, I'm bothered by the fact that people are spending a large portion of their lives being unhappy, I had to do something to help.

People deserve better and, I believe, would like to be happier if they knew how. That's why I wrote "happy@work - 60 Simple Ways to Stay Engaged and Be Successful" (New World library 2014).
