Marie Krepps Maria trudged down the hallway with a hand to her pounding head, stumbling and clutching the wall every few steps as her vision blurred. Where was she and why did she hear screaming and what sounded like a chainsaw coming from behind the closed door up ahead?
Marie Krepps I would have to say my favorite fictional couple would have to be Regin and Declan from Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole.
Their relationship starts off horribly and though Regin continues to clutch onto the hope that he is her true love reincarnated, he retains that he isn't.
Declan is scarred mentally and physically and struggles with his own demons constantly. Throw a sexy valkyrie into his life, an immortal like every other he has learned to hate with all his being, and he is faced with serious issues.
The fact that they are both tortured souls really resonated with me. They come through it all, including outside conflicts, with a strong love for each other.
Second place would be Lothaire and Elizabeth from Kresley Cole's Lothaire novel. This woman knows how to create amazing characters!
Marie Krepps I've always written little stories since I was a kid. The one person who really made me believe that I could be a writer when I grew up was my third grade teacher, Mrs. Baldree. She pushed me to read more challenging books and to write as often as I could. She told me that with hard work, I could be a published author one day.
I owe a lot to that wonderful woman.
Marie Krepps Dreams. Most all my story ideas begin as dreams. My dreams are quite vivid: violent, heart wrenching, terrifying, lovely escapes from the conscious world.
Marie Krepps I don't. I do something else. I take a walk. I work on another project. I take a drive. You can't rush the creative process and my muse will hand me an idea when she's good and ready.
Marie Krepps Right now I'm working on a novel about a diverse coven of vampires. It's hard to throw this one in just one genre; there are science fiction elements, some romance, a tad of horror, lots of drama and action to boot.
I've only had erotica published so far and this is one I've been working on for many years now. Hope to get it out there soon!
Marie Krepps Music is a great inspiration for me. Most of my works have my own "soundtrack". I can tell you what I was listening to when I wrote a certain chapter, for example.
Dreams are also a wonderful way to get ideas. Everything I've ever written contains something from a dream, even if it's only a certain phrase or scene.
Marie Krepps Just keep writing. Everything sounds redundant and overdone?
Keep writing.
You feel like no one supports your work or cares?
Keep writing.
You think you'll never get published?
Keep writing. Things will work out if you never give up and just keep on truckin.
