Beckie Butcher Hello! Sorry it took me so long to answer you, but my mother fell a month ago and it's been one thing after another lately.

Now, about your question; mysteries are my favorite and I grew up on Mary Higgins Clark and Phyllis A. Whitney, so I would like to be in a Mary Higgins Clark book. I like the challenges of putting puzzles together. Thank you for asking and have a great day!
Beckie Butcher Hi, Vicki.
I'm so sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I had an emergency situation with my mom.

Yes, I do have fibro as well. I didn't always, but it came along later. I'm so sorry to hear you have several other conditions as well.

As far as how I deal with it every day, faith is a very big and important part of it. I don't know where you stand on this, but prayer and inspirational reading helps. You can't control it yourself, you can't change it yourself, so try to accept it as part of your life. Emotional struggles and anger only make it worse, because it wastes energy you need for other things. Try and take things one day at a time. Nothing ever gets accomplished by worrying about the future. One thing I have learned from this is things have a way of working themselves out. Peace is the best thing. I hope this helps you.
Beckie Butcher Oh, probably good summer mysteries since I'm a mystery buff. When I was 21, my mom introduced me to Mary Higgins Clark by encouraging me to read her favorite, "Where Are The Children," so I'll probably settle in with something along those lines. What books are on your list?
Beckie Butcher Mystery? Hmmm, I'd have to think about that since my life has been more of a comedy. That being the case, I think I would have to pick a TV show called America's Funniest Videos. I'll have to think about a mystery. ;)
Beckie Butcher Hi, Jessica! I'm so glad you contacted me, thank you.

Now, about your question. I have had CFS for nine years, and probably the biggest lesson I have learned is this. I used to for YEARS think and say this isn't how it should be. I should be able to work and have a normal life. After seeking spiritual help through my church, I was able to be a little more accepting of my circumstance. Once I stopped thinking about how it should be, I learned to accept what was. I was fighting mentally which affected me physically. FAITH is another thing that helps me. It provides the strength I need to make it through my days.

Things are not any easier for me to do, not really. It depends on the day. If I can do more one day I go down for the count the next day-or-two. Like I said, it depends on my system. That's what is so hard to understand about CFS, there is no set pattern to it. It's not concrete. Pacing myself doesn't really do any good, either, because some days I can't tolerate as much as other days. Like I said, there is no set pattern to it.

As far as CBT, I have never had it so I can't offer an opinion on it. CFS doesn't affect my mind as much as it may affect someone else. GET I have never heard of. I googled it and can't find anything on it. I find help through a unique method of chiropractic adjustment called the NUCCA Method, which I discuss in my book. For complete information, feel free to visit NUCCA.org. It does help. It's gotten me out of bed, at least most days.

I hope this helps. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Beckie.

Beckie Butcher Keep at it. Nothing ever got accomplished by giving up. There is competition in all walks of life.
Beckie Butcher I just stop for awhile. I take time out to let my brain relax. Once I've done that, the ideas start flowing again.
Beckie Butcher Self expression. People get to know you through your writing. Plus it can be cathartic.
Beckie Butcher Nothing yet. I have several ideas for another book but I have not decided on that yet.
Beckie Butcher The ideas usually come when I am relaxed. Ideas just come to me then.
Beckie Butcher A friend suggested I write a book telling of my experience of the serious and misunderstood disease Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and how I manage to live with it every day.
