Heather Atkinson Hi Carole. As this series is self published, I'm afraid all the books in it are only available in Kindle format. Sorry xx
Heather Atkinson Hi Paul. I do have a few books available in paperback - Raven, Hollowspire and the first two Dividing Line books. I do intend to have the entire Dividing Line series available in paperback soon. However it's not been worth my while releasing the others in paperback as they hardly sell. Kindle books overall do seem more popular, although I do understand what you mean about the feel of a book in your hands. Thanks for getting in touch, Heather :) xx
Heather Atkinson Hi Natalie, thanks for your question. The second book in the series will follow on exactly from where the first one left off. The series will be concentrated on the same family, so it will still be Amy's story. I'm not sure how many books will be in the series yet, I'll just keep writing them until their story comes to an end.
Heather x :)
Heather Atkinson Hi Caroline

The next Dividing Line book will be out some time next year. I'm afraid I don't have a definite date yet because there are other projects I'm working on - the third book in the Blair Dubh trilogy will be out in November, a stand-alone crime novel set in the Victorian era (I'm obsessed with all things Victorian) will be released in January 2015. I'm also working on a brand new contemporary crime series set in Glasgow, But I'm missing the Maguires and Laws already!

I'm not quite sure how to add books to Goodreads if I'm honest. All the ones that have been added already were added by readers but I will try to put it on.

Hope this answers your questions. Thanks for getting in touch, Heather x
Heather Atkinson I'm fortunate because I rarely suffer from it. If I do then something in the book isn't right. Often I'll skip over the troublesome part and write a different scene. When I come back to it I've usually spotted what's wrong. Listening to music sometimes helps. I'll usually have at least 2 or 3 books on the go so if I do get stuck on one I'll work on another for a bit.
Heather Atkinson Doing what I love full time. You don't need to be sat at a computer to be working, you can be thinking about your book when you're in the shower, on the bus, cleaning. I've had my best ideas while washing up.
Heather Atkinson Just keep at it. No matter how disheartened you get by rejections from publishers or bad reviews, just keep writing. Concentrate on getting your name out there, building up a fanbase and doing what you love and at some point your day will come.
Heather Atkinson I have four books in the pipeline - the Dividing Line short story anthology, which will be ready soon, the 7th Dividing Line book, the third Blair Dubh book and the first book in a brand new series, so I'm very busy.
Heather Atkinson Music mainly, especially heavy metal music for action scenes. I'll envisage a scene over many times before committing it to paper. I have an eclectic music collection and will listen to something appropriate for whatever I'm writing, for example something soft and gentle like Enya of Lana Del Rey for romantic scenes and Goth music for my paranormal books or any intensely dark moments.
Heather Atkinson One thing that fascinates me about writing is the psychology of the characters. So, as the characters in the previous book in the series had endured so much trauma, I was very keen on exploring how that affected their various personalities, hence the title, Aftermath.
