David J. Gibson My late Grandfather Aymer McFarlane told me before he died a family secret that my Great-Great-Great Grandfather, James McFarlane (b. 1747) had settled in the Scottish village of Johnshaven after escaping the press-gangs in Dundee, changing his name from James Wilson to James McFarlane on way. I've been sketching out ideas of turning this into a novel I hope to write someday. What do you think?
