Well, I already live in a world that is beginning to resemble Orwell's 1984. (Yikes!) And I certainly wouldn't want to end up in Margaret Atwood's Handmaid's Tale. I suppose it might be nice to live somewhere in the DC/Marvel Universe where superheroes clean up our streets and keep us safe.

No, I don't think so, but I could recommend a good horror movie. I saw Stephen King's "IT" and found it to be a vast improvement over the book. I'm not sure it was actually scary, but it was definitely very tense.

One book I would really like to get into is Joe Hill's "Strange Weather"--It's a compilation of four short novels. I would also like to finish Conn Igulden's Emperor series. I still have not read books #3 and #4. I was also thinking about tackling some of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories. I have a complete annotated set.

My life has played out more like a slapstick comedy. I bear more of a resemblance to Mr. Bean than Alex Cross.

Keep polishing your craft and write for the sheer enjoyment of it. Don't let rejections from editors discourage you. I've received enough rejection letters to wallpaper my entire house. Hang in there and try to have fun with whatever you're working on.

I'm currently finishing up a non-fiction baseball book. I'm in the editing/ fact-checking phase. I also have a rough draft of a middle grade children's book completed. That story merges baseball with the supernatural.

You can't have output without input. I read a lot of books and watch a lot of television. I also go to the movies regularly. Believe it or not, some of my story ideas come from dreams. I wake up and the ideas are there. If I don't jot them down right away, they just sort of fade away.
