Hi Jimmy, thanks for the friend request - I just randomly post poems on my fb page - but not lately. I started posting to scriggler but mostly, I try poetry contest and they like your 'fresh' work (work not posted elsewhere so I have not been posting as frequently.

Domestic violence happens everyday and it is hurtful in so many ways. I myself have been a victim of domestic violence and my kids where affected by this madness but I was in love and 'thought' I could change someone.
I learned I am not a demon slayer and things never changed. Eventually we divorced, later he killed himself and me, I had nerve to feel guilty that I could not help him when we were together. At the time of his suicide, he was remarried but I still felt guilty - go figure.

Several poetry/prose books for contests entitled:
'Slavery & War, The After Effects'
'Acts of Betrayal'
Along with an untitled book regarding love and trust. I think it will be entitled:
'Remnants of Love' -
This last title may change after I review it.
Either way, I will be self-publishing if no contests are won because I truly feel I have a message to relay - and I will!!

Keep writing, read, experience life but mostly be open to another persons experience because you just can not live in a box (your own little world) with no windows and be able to relate to the world.

I feel free to say things I may not talk about on a daily but things I am feeling and experiencing on a daily basis and sharing those thoughts and feelings in the hopes that I will touch a life, a spirit, a soul with understanding, sometimes even empathy.

Some times I randomly open a 'Roget's Thesaurus' to any page, read the definitions and choose words from that page to write about. Other times I sit and list to Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin and the likes - true Gospel Music and allow them to take me on a journey of praise. Still other times just viewing the news and living life takes my mind to different places.
