Diane Henders My favorite fictional couple is Cordelia Naismith and Aral Vorkosigan in Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosigan series. They first appear in the book Shards of Honor, and then reappear sporadically throughout the series.

Why are they my favourite couple? Because they're such complex characters, seemingly so far apart in political ideology and yet so similar in values. Both are soldiers, tough yet unexpectedly vulnerable, who hold themselves to a standard of behavior far higher than they expect from others. And yet they never come across as priggish or holier-than-thou; quite the opposite. They're deeply human and delightfully intelligent, retaining their gentle humor and deep love for each other even in the face of the shifting alliances and atrocities of war.

Lois McMaster Bujold is one of my must-read authors - anything she writes, I'll buy without question. Even if she published her grocery list, I'd snap it up! :-)
Diane Henders Hi Brent! It's okay, that's not off topic at all. :-) I just released Book 11, The Spies That Bind, a couple of weeks ago, and Book 12 is tentatively scheduled for release around December of 2016. I sometimes release earlier than scheduled, so I post weekly updates on my website.

As soon as I begin writing it (probably in the next couple of weeks), I'll put up a progress graph on my Books page so everyone can see how it's coming along. Here's the link: https://blog.dianehenders.com/books/#12.

Thanks for asking!
Diane Henders I've never had writer's block, but sometimes I get a little bogged down and lose my enthusiasm part way through. I've learned that's not writer's block, though. Every time that's happened, it's because there's something in what I've written that isn't working... and my subconscious won't let me move forward until it's fixed. The tricky part is figuring out what the problem is - characters, plot, or some detail that I haven't even realized I've missed. As soon as I figure that out, I'm off and running again.
Diane Henders Book 9 of the Never Say Spy series - planned release early 2015, but I'm hoping for earlier!
Diane Henders Getting inspired isn't a problem... the problem is making room for the rest of my life. If I could, I'd happily write all day, every day! Instead, I make myself finish all my other work first, and then I reward myself by writing.
