Discussions with women. I get a lot of my ideas from women, since women read a lot more than men and are usually more verbose about what stories they'd like to hear. It's important to please your audience.
My first two books have male protagonists. So men really like those since they relate to the stories really well. But I've found women really like them also. My third book is through the eyes of a woman, to challenge myself and also to answer to the requests by women, to write a story about them, their needs and their struggles in life. I am a born story teller. If I didn't write, it'd feel like not taking a shower. Receiving feedback from readers is a great inspiration. Unfortunately most choose to write me directly through my website instead of posting reviews on Amazon or GoodReads. I'm working on more visible reviews. Reviews, especially positive ones, really inspire me to keep going.

I'm currently writing a story about a very beautiful, self made billionaire, white woman, who lives in Oakville, Ontario. It's about how the advantage of being beautiful as a woman, can sometimes be a disadvantage when trying to get ahead in life. She struggles with chauvinism and marginalization throughout her career, but defies the odds. She's also a bit of a maverick, an adulterer and a murderer. I'm aiming to complete it by the end of 2019.

As a fiction writer we're able to create a world for others to dwell in. It's making magic. Personally, I write novels based on reality, that provokes thought and offers pearls of wisdom for my readers to glean positive emotions. My first novel in particular has helped many people with back problems. This is one of the best things about my books in particular. I help people feel better about life and living in general. It's like being a literary doctor.

I stop trying to write and go do something else. Read, exercise, meditate, play a sport. Just enjoy life. The writing will flow when it's ready.
