Joshua Griffith I'm going to go with the Star Wars universe because it always spoke to me, especially the concept of the Force, probably because I'm an energy healer/worker. Plus, I'd love to have a blaster, a lightsaber, and a droid companion like HK-47.
Joshua Griffith Any book is on my list to read because I have quite the large to be read stack. I prefer to read more indie authors because they tend to have more interesting stories to tell and I like to support them too.
Joshua Griffith I deal with the paranormal and the supernatural so what I've seen and observed over the years is a driving force behind what I write. My work is fiction but there's grains of truth about each creature.
Joshua Griffith If the veil falls on our world and those otherworldly entities were now physically here like you and I, what would you do?
Nothing can stop them from terrorizing the world so where will you go and can you actually hide from not only the chaos that these creatures are causing, but the panic and mayhem that humans are producing...
Joshua Griffith No, I wanted to write an series with an antihero and decided to have a little creative fun with his stature and looks since he's part vampire/demon. A little jerk that you'll both love and hate.
Joshua Griffith I use a little technique that I did in college. I walk around talking to myself out loud or in my head. It helps me visualize how I want the story to go. Self talk is great, even with all the odd looks, but you get use to it. The story is in your head, it just needs the proper outlet for it to flow
Joshua Griffith As a Cherokee, storytelling is deeply weaved into our culture so I write as a way to honor that tradition because it's fun. The best thing about being a writer is hearing from the readers. They inspire me to keep writing more of my dark twisted stories. You never know what others are going through so it's touching when someone tells you that your stories help them out of a dark and stress space.
Joshua Griffith Just write, even if it's a paragraph or several pages. Doesn't matter if it makes sense, just write because you can clean it up during editing. It's easier to write about what you know so read plenty of novels in whatever genres you want to delve into so you can have an idea of how to shape your story.
Joshua Griffith I have several manuscripts going. Currently writing an anthology that has new short stories and stories from the different worlds that I've already published. I'm also working on Hunger and Bones: Book Three of the Reset series, a Christmas horror comedy called Satan's Coming to Town where Lucifer is delivering gifts to the kids that misspelled Santa on their letters that got sent to him by the Cherokee trickster Rabbit.
Joshua Griffith A little nugget of an idea catches my attention like shiny things to the Fae. I let it fester as I kick around how I transform it into an actual story.
Joshua Griffith Usually from dreams or just dealing with the paranormal and supernatural in my daily life.
