J.W. Nelson As a ten-year-old boy, I had a chance to observe JFK's motorcade passing by on Paradise Road as it traveled from the airport to the Convention Center where the president gave a speech. The irony of seeing him in that open presidential limousine and his assassination only two months later inspired the concept behind Landmark Kill.
J.W. Nelson I am finishing a first draft of the prequel to Joey's Place, entitled Landmark Kill. It's a murder mystery (and more) set during the week leading up to JFK's visit to Las Vegas in September 1963.
J.W. Nelson I rarely experience block. If I do, I usually look at my work in progress. Also, because my Las Vegas novels are almost historical-fiction, I do more research and that inspires me.
