Jennifer Barclay Hi Jo! Thanks so much. Did you read Falling in Honey or Octopus in my Ouzo? Tilos is beautiful in September - it's one of the most popular times to visit, though, so don't leave it too late to book a place!
Jennifer Barclay I'm sure you can guess that from reading Falling in Honey!
Jennifer Barclay Hi Anita,
This just came through to me, though we've now exchanged messages on Facebook. Refugees are still passing through, but only here for a couple of days at a time and only staying in one part of the island, and mostly they seem quite comfortable and have money to buy things from the shops etc. so it's sometimes hard to distinguish them from tourists.
Best, Jennifer
Jennifer Barclay New places and experiences inspire me. I have to get out there for inspiration - I have no imagination.
Jennifer Barclay The story that follows on from Falling in Honey - the first couple of years of what it was really like living on a remote Greek island. But I have also found myself having another adventure in Australia so I'm writing about that too.
Jennifer Barclay Write. Write some more. If you enjoy it, do it. No writer appeals to all readers - find your strengths and your readership.
Jennifer Barclay Getting good feedback from people. Inspiring people or making them happy through something you've written. Seeing your book in bookshops is pretty great too.
Jennifer Barclay Do some other work instead, until I'm reminded that I'd much rather be writing. Plus, the essentials: a cup of tea/coffee and something to eat. I need energy to get started!
