I don't put a lot of pressure on myself. I write when I have words. When I don't, I do other things because I trust the words will always come back.

For me it's writing and sharing what I love with others. I feel if I have only one reader but what I wrote inspires and helps that person, then that person is who I was writing for, and I'm happy to have written it. Writing brings me joy.

Write every day. To become a writer, you have to write. Write like you speak, as if you're having a conversation with a loved one. This allows you to develop your authentic voice. Read what you write and ask how you can improve it. Workshop your writing and listen to feedback. Incorporate the feedback. Develop your craft. And write about the things that bring you joy and make you feel passion.

I just submitted the completed draft of my upcoming book, The Crystal Alchemist, to my new publisher, New Harbinger. We've entered the revisions and editing process.

I just sit down and start writing. I write every day because I feel writing is as much a discipline as it is a creative pursuit. Plus, I'm so passionate about my topics and about writing, I'm thrilled it's what I get to do when I get out of bed every morning.

For my upcoming book, The Crystal Alchemist, I realized there were a lot of crystal reference books but few with comprehensive ideas about how to bring them into all aspects of your life. In fact, in my classes, it's one of the most frequent questions - "Okay - so this is what these crystals do, but how do you use them?" So that was my inspiration for the book.
