Regarding ideas, it's just learning how to look at the world different. Take the initial hallway description in the book. This just started from a common experience I've had of walking through my house while reading and looking up a bit confused as to where I was. So, I just asked myself how could I take this further? What if there was really some magic to getting lost in your own house? What if there were corners around your house that you had to stumble into?
Everything can be magical! It just takes asking that next question: what if?

I'm currently working on a year-long project called "The Knitter Adventures" which will be a series of weekly adventures of the Knitter creatures from my Tales of Dreamside series. Also working on a screenplay titled "Scribbles."

This question is difficult for me to answer. I don't tend to struggle with ideas -- I probably have too many of them. Regarding the act of writing, I find inspiration has very little to do with it and instead, simply sitting down and writing (through pure determination) is where the magic happens.

My ideas came from telling bedside stories to my kids. The stories kept building and building and I finally realized I needed to put them down in a book.
