I find inspiration in music — Alan Parsons especially, songs I know by heart. I’m also inspired by the stories themselves; they demand to be told and shared. A good cup of Major Dickason’s Blend coffee doesn’t hurt either. But the greatest inspiration comes from within — following the instinct of the heart, finding the path, and carrying the story to its true destination.

For me, the best part of being a writer is the worldbuilding — shaping a place that feels immersive without overwhelming the story. The world should be an intriguing backdrop, not the star. As an engineer and science nerd at heart, I love building a fantasy world that still runs on logic and consistent rules. That attention to detail is what excites me most.

I’m putting the finishing touches on Book Four of Keeper of the Deer, Master Thief. Right now I’m deep into the second round of editing — tiring, yes. Tedious, yes. But absolutely necessary. Every pass ensures the story is consistent with what has come before, and that the world of Elarandor feels seamless for readers who’ve been with Rad (and soon Heather) since the beginning.
