Ralph D. Warren I was watching a show where successful and beautiful black women were denigrating black men in prison. In my view, it was insensitive and ugly. But they enjoyed it and needless the say, they wouldn't date these types of men. So, I felt some type of way. I disagreed with them. So, there was my story, write before my eyes. I believe that given a certain set of circumstances anyone can commit a serious crime. So, I used the successful and beautiful black woman prototype and creating a villain who could make it happen. It was a challenge, because the story had to be believable. Had to make me believe. And I am not easy to convince. But I was convinced. The story was exciting to me. I wrapped a love story into the subplot and took two more short subplots to keep the readers engaged. I got this rush writing it.
