My book was just published in October 2014 and my first reaction was "I don't ever want to write another book!" But I do find myself mulling over ideas for the next book. I'm also a travel writer for two in-flight magazines, various online travel sites and my own travel blog: Southern-Traveller.com. I also have another blog at PrayWaves.com. So I'm always busy writing something.

Don’t be afraid to experiment writing in different genres. My first book was a non-fiction book on prayer for individual or small groups. During COVID I started playing around writing picture books just for fun. I really enjoyed it, took classes on how to write for children, joined a critique group, went to writer’s conferences. One of my picture books won an award at a writer’s conference and that inspired me to keep going. In 2022 I signed a contract for my kid’s devotional book which launched 11/07/23!

I am a teacher at heart, having been an elementary & secondary teacher for 15+ years. I love the fact that I can reach so many more people through the written word. I want to inspire, share what God has shown me about prayer and encourage others to develop a prayer life. That's what my first book is all about!
